Sun

Coming back into the room, I asked my daughter with a concerned look on my face, "is everything alright? you keep having strange visitors."

"yes, everything will be fine as soon as we get home. will you talk to the doctor to see what he can do?"

--a few minutes later--
"We'd really rather keep her here another night to make sure everything is alright."

"I understand, but she really would like to go home, and seems to be doing much better."

"Perhaps she could use a little sunshine, why don't you take her for a walk. We'll see how she handles that, and then I will let you know my decision."

"Oh, thank you doctor!"

The nurse brought us a wheelchair and a blanket and escorted us to the door, "Now, I don't want any funny business, Mrs. Landon. I'm going to trust you to bring her back in here so the doctor can decide. We already had one patient run off on us this week." she shook her head and went back inside.

"Well, she doesn't have to worry, I wouldn't want to go home without my lucky T-shirt." Rain grinned as I wheeled her around.

An idea came to my mind, I remembered the girl that came to visit had cured Rain just by touching her head, "let me try something." I whispered to her. I then pushed her to a corner of the garden where no people were. I then place my hands gently on her head and focused my energy. I could feel her pain and suffering, it was as if I was taking her pain and giving her my energy. After a few moments I was feeling exhausted, "how do you feel, my dear?" I nearly gasped from lack of air.

"I'm fine," she quickly turned to look at me, "but mom, how are you? you look terrible."

"Oh, I think I'll be alright. Let's just sit under this tree for a bit to rest, and then we'll go see what the doctor has to say. I have a feeling he'll let you go home. Like the doctor said, all you needed was a little Sunshine."

She grinned and hugged me. We just sat there in silence, hugging one another for what seemed like forever.
