I'd been in pain for about thirty minutes when it finally subsided and I could think straight again. I still ached a little but I could feel I'd be alright. I wonder if Jessica is going to be alright. I realized a little too late that I had to be more careful on what I said. The light had told me what the consequence for breaking my word and I might not approve of my powers, but I wanted that less. I wonder why it'd stopped. I didn't have much time to think about it, a small rock hit my window and then another.
I looked outside and saw Rain standing out there. I walked downstairs and went out the front door. I really was going to get it in the morning when my dad found out I'd been suspended and my mom was sure to find some way of punishing me as well, besides the grounding.
"Hey there Rain," I was somewhat confused as to her late night visit. "Aren't you supposed to be in bed, curfew and all that?"
"My parents idea," She grumbled. "They want us to fix the school."
I laughed out loud, "Nothing more suspicious than a self-repairing school, but there is a slight problem. My powers only affect the earth and things that come out of it and yours appeared to be water."
She shrugged, "You coming or you gonna let a girl one up you and fix that building in a single night."
I knew she was just messing with my head but I couldn't let her do it alone, even if she had done most of the destruction.
"I'll come take a look but no promises," I thought about it, I couldn't rightly use my other powers to do it either at this point any further use would severely injure me. "Let's go."
