I asked Daila to come with me, mostly I just randomly selected someone. I got in one of the spare cars Jared had left for us to use when we needed to go out and began driving towards where he said. I stopped the car when I saw a familiar face waving and screaming at me.
I got out, "Jessica?" I was surprised when she ran up and hugged me.
"I'm glad I found you," She exclaimed. "I need to talk to you."
"You'd better continue without me Daila," I said to her. "This could take a while."
Jessica rolled her eyes, "Not about that. I'm sorry I blew up so badly. I was just jealous because she was a spy and didn't have all the added surveillance that I have on me."
"You'd be surprised about that," I smirked. "What did you want to talk about?"
"Alex," She frowned. "He is at the White House right now." I didn't reply so she explained, "He wants the president to arrange a meeting between him, Alex, and the people who are after us."
"Why would he do that?" I wondered. "What's in it for your father?"
"Alex will use his powers to make sure my dad wins the reelection," Jessica said.
"Hm," I didn't know what to think. "We need to go back to base, but..."
"But what?" She asked.
"I can't let you know where that is," I grinned. "Technically if I blindfolded you, you wouldn't know where it was."
I blindfolded her using something handy and drove to our destination. Once inside I removed the blindfold. No one else was in the room.
"Nice place," Jessica said. "Maybe he'll let me join your group?"
"Probably," I answered. "I'll show you my room. I'd rather no one see you until he gets back."
Once safely inside my room I made my way to the workout room to do a few runs before he got back.
(That's where it links back up where Jared. I don't know what, where, or when Daila's group is.)
