I had been quite concerned with Jared's words but when I felt the dream as the rest of the world had I knew it was true, but it didn't matter. Perhaps it made it worse, I was just a mistake. Literally a miscalculation. I had no purpose but perhaps I would lean on my ancestor's plot and take over the world as he had.
My two best agents had just delivered me another prisoner, but this one was different. Perhaps it would have made more sense to say I felt different towards her. She knew nothing and there was no reason to harm her and I was angry whenever they tried.
I was in interrogation right now with the leader of one of the small groups that had cropped up. I sighed, I guess I'll enact my main plan earlier than I had anticipated.
"Where is your hideout?" I demanded, slamming a fist into the table.
He didn't respond to my question, but instead asked, "You're Alex right? He told us about you, you betrayed your own kind. You're such a monster, it's because of those like you we are hunted."
He spoke with such intensity and yet his voice didn't raise one decibel. It annoyed me actually.
"You'll be the first test subject then," I smirked. "You annoyed me a little too far. If you have anyone you care about, I suggest you say goodbye now."
"We both know you can't use your powers here," He laughed. "Don't threaten me."
"I can't use my powers you're right," I agreed. A moment later I had jumped over the table and was holding his throat against the ground. I added, "Unless I'm touching you." I placed my free hand on his head and he began to scream as I rewrote his mind to better suit me.
